The SDSRT Student Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for students to learn more about some serious involvement in professional organizations. The two first year students that are chosen each year participate in SDSRT Annual Conferences and attend meetings with the SDSRT Board of Directors. Upon successful completion of the internship, each intern will receive a scholarship from the SDSRT for all of their work.
The SDSRT Interns are also registered to attend the ASRT Annual Governance & House of Delegates Meetings and Educational Symposium. There they'll learn about the ASRT, attend educational events, and tap into a valuable network of other students, technologists, and resources from all over the United States.
Meet our current interns and read reports from other recent interns to learn more about their experiences. The application process for the internship is also listed here. Take advantage of this great opportunity and submit your application!

I’m originally from Aberdeen, SD but I currently live in Mitchell, SD attending school at Mitchell Tech for radiologic technology. This is my first year as an SDSRT member and I’m really enjoying it so far! There are so many great people who are involved and working hard to make this organization the best it can be which makes being a member really great!

Students wishing to apply must submit a completed application form along with a required essay no later than December 1st. The essay has no required length but must include the following points:
The essay must not include any identifying features within its content. Such features include, but are not limited to: Where you are attending school, your name, the city you reside, or any other identifying features which would compromise the anonymous format in which the board reviews the essays and applications.
The SDSRT Delegates will review the submitted applications and present them to the Board of Directors. The SDSRT Delegates will notify the students who are selected within one week following the board decision. Results will be submitted to the ASRT and applicants by December 16th.
