My name is Rajan Shah and I am from Nepal. I came to the United States in 2017 and did my bachelors in Radiologic Technology at St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. Also, I did my 2-year clinicals at Sanford School of Radiologic Technology. After graduating from the Sanford program in 2021, I did my masters in basic biomedical science at University of South Dakota. Currently, I work as a night tech at Sanford Diagnostic Radiology, Sioux Falls. I chose to join SDSRT because I believe working as a radiologic technologist in the state of South Dakota, it is my responsibility to be a part of the team which aims to advance the profession of medical imaging. I am also excited to work with rad tech students in the state of South Dakota and aware them about the benefits and opportunities of being a member of SDSRT. SDSRT is also a great platform for students and technologists to learn leadership skills and share each other's perspective on how to improve image quality, patient care, and radiation safety. I look forward to meeting you all.

I am originally from El Paso, Texas, and currently reside as a Radiologic Technologist at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I was raised in a small town community of Mitchell. I partook in athletics and was involved with the local community. I spent summers decorating the Corn Palace and helping run events such as the fall harvest festivals and various concerts and college sporting events at the Corn Palace. I had the opportunity to do my clinical year in the Rapid City area. I had a great experience, getting to know and working with many techs at multiple Monument Health facilities. I enjoy working in Radiology and look forward to being involved and meeting many more professionals.

She successfully started the program and received an Outstanding Achievement award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer for the program in 2003. Her career at Avera expanded to include the Yankton, SD cancer program and she was asked to start a Palliative Medicine in 2018. Palliative Medicine quickly became her new passion. I live in Platte, SD, and am working as a Mammography Sales Specialist for VasoHealthCare, a subsidiary of GE Healthcare. I went to school at Sioux Valley Hospital of Radiologic Technology and I have held many positions as a multi-modality technologist over the years. I was most recently working in Women’s Health as a Manager of a very busy Breast Center. I have been very active in the SDSRT in the past as well as the ASRT as a Mammography Delegate. I have also been active with the ARRT in a wide variety of activities. I love this profession and I encourage everyone to get as involved with their local and national society as possible. It is extremely fulfilling and rewarding to network with so many different professionals across the state/nation. I would not be in the position I am in now, had I not got myself fully involved in the profession. I look forward to working with the SDSRT again.
